Overview
School Social Workers
The mission of school social work is to promote academic success by reducing social, emotional, economic and environmental barriers to learning. As the school social worker, we are here to offer support to students, parents, and school staff. We work with students on various issues such as social skills, friendships, grief, divorce/separation, self-esteem, anger management, and bullying. We help teachers with behavioral interventions and classroom presentations. We can also provide assistance with accessing outside supports and provide referrals for your child or your family.
